KAI Origins
Komar Associates, Inc. was started in 1992 by Ben J. Komar as a computer software
and systems engineering firm with a focus on embedded systems. Some of the previous
projects which KAI has worked on include embedded control systems for offset printing
presses, communication panels, building control systems, manufacturing test &
control systems, CAMAC systems, and machine monitoring & control systems.
Since incorporating in 1992 KAI has consulted on large corporate software process improvement projects, developed Residential Entertainment, Lighting, and Control Systems, developed Industrial Automation Gateway Devices for BACnet, Siemens, Andover and Johnson Controls Products, developed Embedded Controller Registry subsystems, developed Multi-Language Man-Machine Interface modules for embedded control systems, and been involved in a variety of Commercial and Residential Computer Network, Server, and Workstation Installation and Maintenance projects.
